We are a team of native German and English speakers and know just as well as anyone else how hard it is to write in a foreign language, as we ourselves have often struggled with difficulties in our own translations from German to English or vice versa. That being said, in terms of the frustration and uncertainty that comes with attempting to express yourself in a language other than your own, we can simply say: been there, done that.

This is exactly why we are here; let us take away that frustration and let us give you the certainty that will leave you feeling proud and confident with your English text. We are local, flexible and ready to help you tackle your scientific writing problems by working together. We are not a group of neckties sitting behind desks at a distant, isolated translation office in another country; instead, we feel that it is important to be where our clients are, to never separate ourselves from the everyday language and culture that is so closely tied with effective translation. The Middleman caters to German-speakers, mainly in Austria, and thus offers a specific, targeted service. Not only are we ourselves easily accessible, but so are our resources. We have native speaker contacts from various fields/specialties of work in the U.S. (mostly in Chicago), ready to assist us with professional second opinions and additional review of texts.

To avoid confusion, let us first and foremost disclose that the Middleman is not a translation service. Our specialization involves optimizing and shaping pre-exisiting texts written by non-native English speakers.
